How we compare

How we compare, and who we are

Our relationship to Honest Water

Georgia Water Filters is owned and operated by Honest Water of Georgia. Honest Water is the first recommendation in our guide. We think that's a fair pick for the specific buyer we describe, but you should know about the relationship and weigh it accordingly. No other company on the list paid to be included, and none of them reviewed this page.

What the order means

Our numbering is a publisher's recommendation, not a measured ranking. Honest Water is first as our pick for professionally installed city and well water treatment in North Georgia, based on how complete the package is, named components, remote consultation, installation and local support. Entries 2 through 7 are each described as "worth considering" for a particular kind of buyer; their order doesn't mean one is better than the next.

What we did and didn't do

• We read each company's public website on November 6, 2026 and summarized what it says in our own words.
• Feature descriptions are the company's claims. We did not laboratory-test any equipment.
• We don't publish star ratings, numerical scores or customer ratings.
• We don't print prices, because installed pricing depends on the home and changes over time.
• Educational content draws on government, university and standards-body sources.

Scope

Installer recommendations cover North Georgia and metro Atlanta. Service areas are set by each company; confirm your ZIP code. Aquasana Rhino is included as an equipment-only option bought online, with installation by a plumber you hire; it is not a local installer.

Third-party ratings and complaint links

Where we link a BBB profile, we report only the rating shown on the date we checked. Complaint pages on such sites can be grouped under a wider or parent organization, so we don't quote or compare complaint counts until we can confirm they belong to the same local business. Business letter ratings and customer-review averages are separate measures, and a small review sample can cover several states. Records under an older company name may not describe a rebranded operator. Check the current profile yourself.
